Santa came! Ava L-O-V-E-S her kitchen. Lily's Spa Factory was a hit - although she was a bit perplexed as to what it actually was...she mixed the mask (a honey, oatmeal concoction with lavender oil) and I demonstrated how to relax for 3 minutes with it on. Oh, so THAT's what a spa day is? Hmmm...Ben got a fun robot from Santa. Sam rollerskated around - surprisingly not hurting himself too often. Hannah and Lily modeled their BabyJIDesign dresses. They were very excited that the reindeer ate the carrots and apple they left out for them.
Then...It was the fastest pace Christmas gift opening we have had since having kids. Usually it takes days. Today, it was done by about noon. Wow, what a difference a year makes. Well, and we also scaled WAY back on the gifts this year. The adults had mimosas while trying to stay on top of the whirlwind pace of opening. We had a lovely quiche brunch (the kids had cereal). My mom, Robin and I took Ava for a walk in the afternoon so Ava could take a nap. Very nice day.
Thanks for all the wonderful gifts, everyone! Love to all our family and friends!
