I woke up early today. It is always hard for me to sleep when I have somewhere to go. The girls are up with me, but Jeff and Ben are still snoozing. We are getting ready to hop in the car for a day of driving to LA, to Jeff's parents' house for Christmas.
Last night, we pulled out the glug and had a fun Swedish Christmas smorgasbord with my parents, who will be staying here for Christmas, packing up their house to move out of next week. They are headed out on RV road trip for A YEAR. OMG, A YEAR. I am excited for them and am happy that my sister Robin will get a turn (they are headed to Newfoundland - yes, all the way there - they will arrive in St. John's in mid-summer, after the snow and ice melts)....but I am also quite weepy at times. We bought them a Jet Blue gift card for their gift, so they can just come on home if when they feel like it. I am hoping to meet them a few times along their travels over the year.
