A Day at Campbell Park

This is one of the best parks around for toddler twins, Campbell Park right near downtown. It is a small one, but it is walking distance from Nana and Papa's house and Starbucks (:)), is enclosed with a fence, has a fast slide, nice swings to go "super-fast" on, a sand/water area, and a big kid playground too in case Ben and Lily get a little bored. Coming here is one of our favorite activites for Wednesday morning playdates with Nana.

While Ben and Lily played, Ava slept in the shade. By the way, I love Ava's new stroller. It is a jogging stroller that her infant car seat fits in, so it will grow with her and should last us years. Now, if I could just get motivated to go for a jog!

Congratulations to Donna and Khoa

My good friend, Donna Nguyen, was married to a wonderful guy, Khoa Do, tonight at the gorgeous setting of the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco. Donna looked amazing and it was a very fun wedding. I was supposed to be a bridesmaid for Donna, but got pregnant instead and had to bow out since her original wedding date was so close to my due date! Oops! Anyway, I did do a reading at the wedding and tried to help Donna and her girls as much as possible while they all got ready for the ceremony.

Ava came with Jeff and I, but Jeff and Ava stayed up in the hotel room during the wedding and reception since she is pretty fussy in the evenings and was not going to sleep for Daddy (she has decided not to take a bottle anymore, so I ran back and forth all evening between the wedding and feeding her). Poor Jeff! Anyway, here is Ava hanging out in the hotel room, wishing the wedding couple her best and enjoying her view of the City...

Hello Aunt Kelly

Here is Ava taking her first look at Aunt Kelly, cousin Mika (right) and Mika's friend Cheyenne (middle).

Cousin Lucas was there too . . . probably playing with Ben and Lily elsewhere while this particular photo was shot. The three of them are getting along great these days (for the most part, that is. There is, of course, an occasional tug of war over a truck, etc.). We had a nice visit with everyone, although it was quick for some of us. Jeff, Linsey and Ava took off early to go to Donna's wedding up in San Francisco that evening. While we were gone, everyone else went to the Old Spagetti Factory for a "spagetti party." Hooray! Ben and Lily love to drop those long stands of spagetti into their mouths and slurp them up. They have also discovered a love of spumoni ice cream. They just adore Mika and Cheyenne - the girls read Ben and Lily stories and put them to bed. What fun.
