Happy Halloween :)

We had a really fun time at Halloween this year. There were so many activities - baby playgroup Halloween party for Ava, trick-or-treating in downtown Campbell (we tried to avoid the Spidermen - Lily found them very scary!), pumpkin carving (Lily loved the goo, Ben..not so much), a Halloween c0ncert (complete with cupcakes!) at the Santana Row outdoor mall, and the best part -- trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.

"Daddy is so much fun! " Ava always says. And she's so right.

One of Ava's favorite people has become Nana Karin. Nana sings the "Hello to Ava, so glad to see you" song and her little face just lights up.

Picture Day at Preschool!

Ah, picture day. Remember those early photos of you as just a little tyke with all of your first friends? Ben and Lily recently had their first experience with picture day at their preschool, University Preschool in Saratoga. Little ballerina

Lily has become a lover of princesses, ballerinas, dresses and all things pretty. Let's do a little twirl, shall we?

Oh, so this is food? Ava's first cereal

Hmm.... Ava's not sure yet what to think about this stuff. She is not a big fan of plastic (she JUST started to take a bottle again, thanks to our friend Laila!), so this will take some getting used to. We enjoy the easy feeding method of nursing a lot - it is so easy and convenient. But soon enough, the battle to get her to eat her fruits and veggies will be on and, if she takes after her big brother and sister, she will be incessently asking for cookies and goldfish. Wonder where these kids get their sweet-tooths (or is it sweet-teeth plural??) - certainly not from Jeff and I! Hee hee...

Let's all go down to the pumpkin patch

Our favorite pumpkins took a trip to the Grant Road Farm pumpkin patch this weekend. Ava took a nap in the Baby Bjorn (yawn), while Ben (AKA: Bob the Builder) and Lily rode the train and perused the pumpkins. What a lovely fall day.
