Ava gets her hair done

After Lily had her hair done so much at Thanksgiving, Lucas had the idea that Ava needed a hairclip too.  She has this adorable little mohawk-thing going on right now - she was born with all this hair, then shed a lot of it, except for her little mop top. Lucas noticed that it was getting in her eyes and suggested a little barrette. Here's the result!

Thanksgiving in Mariposa

We spent a relaxing Thanksgiving in Mariposa, at Kelly and Mike's house. The kids has such a great time playing with their cousins Lucas, Mika and Cheyenne. It is truly a kid's wonderland up there. Ben especially enjoyed driving trucks with Lucas, riding bikes, playing Mika's drums, and bouncing high on the trampoline. Mika and Cheyenne did Lily's hair about 50 million times - they lured her up to the top of Mika's bunk bed with a karaoke machine toy and took turns with the brush and barettes. Lily just loved it! She said "Look. I'm so pretty!" Then she got tired of it and went to play with Ben and Luke with the trucks, trampoline, drums, etc.

Ava is 6 months old!

Okay, I know that time flies when you're having fun, but this is just ridiculous. Here is our little bouncing six-month-old Ava. She has learned to sit up very well recently. See?

November 2006 At Home Photo Shoot

Anna Mayer is a photographer we have used for the last couple of years. She takes amazing photos - very candid and fun. Here is our latest shoot - we did this at home. It was crazy! We're still trying for a photo of all 5 of us with our faces in it. But this photo shoot was not about "line 'em up and shoot" as Anna puts it. It really captures what the kids are like these days.
